Swivel Damper
- Size ranges from DN 200 to DN 1000 for the square damper and rectangular dampers range from 200 mm up to 1200 mm with jumps of 50 mm either in the axel direction or in the height.
- The damper is dimensioned through a 3D CAD analysis program and construction wise from 300°C and 5000 Pa. The dampers are built over a welded profile and this provides a solid and strong construction under all operational conditions. The frame and the flange will therefore remain stable, even at high temperature and pressure conditions.
- A stainless steel version can be made on request. Alternative designs with other basic data can be offered. Contact Kolster for further information.
- To achieve greater flexibility, the damper series is modular so that, based on the basic version, the damper can be built in order to match customer requirements.
- The drive console is made with holes according to ISO 5211, (F05, F07 and F10). This enables mounting of the vast majority of drives on the market or with stepless adjustable handles.
- The actuators can be fitted with limit switch boxes or positions.

Swivel Damper
- The damper is designed to fit between two standard flanges DIN standard PN 6/10/16, or as ANSI 150 lbs., and for the DN 200 size or bigger it must always be fitted with a horizontal shaft.
- Installation length: After the manufacturer’s standard, but special installation lengths are possible.
- Stem seal: Gasket with seal by means of braided packing.
- Materials: Delivered standard with GG-35 housing, spindle and damper plate in S235 JRG2 . Stainless steel materials are available on request.
- Possible field of application from -40o C to + 1.000oC, depending on material combination.
- Standard temperature ranges: t < 100 °C, 100 °C < t < 350 °C, 350 °C < t < 450 °C, t > 450 °C.
- Standard with hand control, where the damper can be locked in 16 different positions.
- On request the damper can be delivered with a stepless adjustable handle.
- The damper can also be delivered with an electric or air actuator fitted with a limit switch box or regulation positions.

Swivel Damper
- The DS damper is a single-blade swivel damper for circular or rectangular ducts and is primarily used for sealing off and control purposes.
- The DS damper is designed for flange mounting or for welding in duct sections. The solid and powerful construction ensures reliable operation and long life, plus the option of dismantling by inspection or maintenance.
- The damper plate is made as “wing profile” with smooth outer surfaces, which provides minimal flow resistance and high strength.
- The damper blade shaft is suspended in heat-resisting spherical special bearings and is fitted with separate shaft seals at the frame penetrations.
- The DS damper can be supplied with different types of seals between the damper shaft and frame. The tightness is calculated areawise and is usually 98%, with a metallic impact, 99.5% seal and with a soft impact 99.7-99.8% seal.
- Material: Regular steel, Corten steel, heat resistant as well as stainless steel and acid-resistant steel.
- Operation: Can be delivered with manual operation, pneumatic or electric drive, box with limit switch or positions with 4-20 mA feedback signal for control purposes.
- Construction: The final construction is based on the current temperature and current pressure.
Swivel Damper
- The DS-MINI damper is a single blade swivel damper for circular ducts, primarily used for isolation and regulation in smaller flue gas and air ducts.
- The DS-MINI damper is adapted to the standard pipe dimensions from DN 100 to DN 350.
- The DS-MINI damper is designed for flange mounting or for welding into the ducts. The sturdy and robust construction ensures reliable operation and long service life, plus the option of dismantling in case of inspection and repair.
- The damper blade shaft is suspended in heat resistant and lubricated for life special bearings and is fitted with replaceable shaft seals at the frame penetrations.
- The DS-MINI damper can be supplied with different types of seals between the damper blade and frame.
- Material: Regular steel, Corten steel, heat resistant as well as stainless steel and acid-resistant steel.
- Operation: Can be delivered with manual operation, pneumatic or electrical drive, box with end stop switches or positions with 4-20 mA feedback signal for regulation purposes.

Swivel Damper
- The DDS damper is a single blade swivel damper for circular or rectangular ducts..
- The damper is fitted with a double-walled blade with built in air barrier channel.
- With the barrier air pressure slightly higher than the duct pressure, 100% gas tight barrier is ensured.
- The construction provides compact installation dimensions.
- The DDS type can also be used in conjunction with a negative pressure barrier, but in this case the DDSRG type is more suitable.
- The construction is as type DS.
- Material: Regular steel, Corten Steel, heat resistant as well as stainless steel and acid-resistant steel.
- Operation: Can be delivered with manual operation, pneumatic or electrical drive, incl. position switches, positions with 4-20 mA and input and output signal.
Swivel Damper
- The swivel damper type MDS and MDDS is a single or multiple blade swivel damper for rectangular ducts.
- The MDS/MDDS damper is primarily used for isolation and regulation at large duct cross-sections, such as at flue gas purification plants or similar.
- The damper is built with a powerful frame system with extended casing for welding connection. Very large dampers can be divided into sections for the sake of transportation and assembly conditions.
- The damper blade is made as a “wing profile” with smooth outer surfaces, giving minimal flow resistance and high strength.
- The damper blades can be made with single sealing, double sealing or double sealing for connecting of air barrier– type MDDS, for maximum tightness.
- The damper shaft is housed in separate enhanced spherical cast steel housing with built-in high temperature ball bearings. The damper shaft is furnished with separate spring loaded shaft seals at the frame penetrations.
- Choice of sealing system depends on the dampers operating function.
- Material: regular steel, Corten steel, heat resistant as well as stainless and acid-resistant steel.
- Operation: Can be delivered complete with pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive, incl. the necessary control and safety functions, adapted to the damper function.
Swivel Damper

- The damper is designed for welding on tube or coupling connection to PVC tubes or similar.
- The damper blade is massive and can be strengthened by differential pressure.
- Fitting length: can be agreed upon by request.
- Stem seal: Gasket with seal by means of braided packing.
- Material: regular steel, Corten steel, heat resistant as well as stainless and acid-resistant steel.
- Operation: Can be supplied complete with a manual adjustable handle, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive incl. the necessary control and safety functions adapted to the damper function.
